An Australian Football League premiership forward, Gary Rohan, has made a stunning look to practice this week after he suffered a fractured skull while playing in the VFL, leaving many American social media users in disbelief.
Bet AFL on Bet365The 33-year-old footballer sustained a skull fracture from an accidental elbow to the head after colliding with a Southport defender during the first quarter of Geelong's VFL semi-final loss against Southport a week ago. The blow, described as a “glancing hit,” forced Rohan to be rushed to the hospital, and further scans confirmed the skull fracture.
Rohan hours later posted a hospital selfie with his wife, Madi, with the captions confirming that the scans confirmed the skull fracture and that he was awaiting surgery.
“Not the place I had planned to spend my weekend.. scans have confirmed a fractured skull, but I am doing well and in the best hands. Now just waiting on surgery. Thank you for all of the messages and well wishes.”
Rohan's amazing haircut caught everyone's attention on Monday when he arrived to do some light work with his teammates. His hair was shaved from ear to ear for surgery. His teammates are getting ready for Saturday's preliminary final against Brisbane at the MCG.
Rohan has been officially ruled out of the Cats' upcoming preliminary final but could still be a selection hope if they reach the grand final.
