Aston Villa are reportedly close to signing Manchester United's Marcus Rashford on a loan deal.

The 27-year-old forward has been frozen out from Ruben Amorim's squad since December 12 and has been pushing for an exit from Old Trafford before the January transfer window shuts on Monday night. Rashford also announced earlier his intention to leave Manchester Utd on New Year’s Eve.
Clubs like AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, and Napoli have been linked with the forward, but his huge salary has been a big obstacle. Now, reports emerged that Villa had offered the out-of-favor Manchester United a temporary deal until the end of the season.
Rashford is expected to join Unai Emery's side before Monday's deadline, with all parties still in talks to iron out further details. The deal is likely to include a buy option, and Villa will cover a significant part of the forward's £360,000-a-week salary.
The 27-year-old player has made 426 appearances for United since joining the team in 2016, scoring a total of 138 goals.
