Defending champions Argentina secured their 16th Copa America title by defeating Colombia 1-0 with an extra-time goal from substitute Lautaro Martinez at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida.

The goal propelled Argentina to its record 16th Copa title. Martínez ran to the bench to hug his 37-year-old captain after scoring the winning goal.
The game, which was delayed by more than an hour after thousands of fans without tickets tried to enter the stadium, was a cagey affair over 90 minutes but opened up in the extra period. Fans were left outside the stadium throughout the contest, despite claiming to have mobile tickets.
Argentina has secured their third consecutive major title after winning the 2021 Copa América and the 2022 World Cup, matching Spain's achievement of winning the 2008 and 2012 European Championships around the 2010 World Cup.
