The regular WNBA 2024/2025 season is almost over, with 4-5 games left for teams. The regular season will end on September 20th, and playoffs start on September 23rd. Meanwhile, seven teams have already booked their places in the next round but still need to fight for seeding. However, aside from the Los Angeles Sparks, the other four teams still have a chance to get to the next round mathematically, but with the look of things, only teams sitting in the 8th, 9th, and 10th positions would get the ticket. The Chicago Sky currently hold the final spot. Can the Sky hold on to the last? Below is the WNBA table, the last playoff spot odds table, and analyses of the top contenders.

Atlanta Dream
The Atlanta Dream (12-23) have the worst average point (77.3) in the WNBA but are doing some excellent work at their defense, conceding 80.9 points per game—5th in the league. However, their qualification now depends majorly on how they approach the two games against the Mystics and the game against the Sky. They have a 1-1 record against the Mystics this season but are behind 2-1 against the Sky. The Dream are listed as 2.812 odds underdog in front of their fans why they face Lynx in their next game.

Rookies Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso need a team leader to guide them. They have the talent but need more coordination from experienced players. On paper, they should win 3 of their remaining five games and a must-win game against the Dream, over whom they have a 2-1 head-to-head advantage.
