Shuai Zhang
Shuai Zhang has had a strong run in the US Open swing, and she is undoubtedly prepared for the season's last major.
Despite a sluggish start (a first-round defeat in San Jose and a round-two elimination in Toronto), the 33-year-old improved by reaching the quarterfinals in Cincinnati and Cleveland.
Shuai advanced over Katerina Siniakova, Naomi Osaka, and Anett Kontaveit in both events.
Zhang won WTA Lyon earlier this year and reached the finals in Birmingham. It's been a good year for the World No. 35, who has reached four finals in doubles, including the Wimbledon and Stuttgart Open.
She is also the current Flushing Meadows doubles champion.
Jil Teichmann
Jil Teichmann has been struggling recently and isn't in the finest of shape for the competition.
She failed to clear the qualifications in San Jose and was defeated by Elizabeth Mandlik. In Toronto, she advanced to the third round before being defeated in straight sets by Simona Halep.
The Swiss last competed in Cincinnati, where she had the misfortune of facing Petra Kvitova in the opening, which she lost in three sets.
The 25-year-old is now ranked 30th in the world and has had an average year overall, with the majority of her success coming in clay-court tournaments in Madrid, Rome, and the French Open. Jil, on the other hand, qualified for the quarterfinals in Dubai.
Expert Betting Tips
This is a thrilling game that may go either way. Both players are ready to battle, but the odds are stacked in Zhang's favour given her recent form and momentum.
Teichmann has the ability to surprise, but it is a difficult task to meet.
