Lorenzo Sonego vs Andrey Rublev Prediction: the Russian to Take Revenge

Before Roland Garros, Lorenzo Sonego played three matches at the Rome Masters, beating Chardy and Nishioka but losing to Tsitsipas. In Paris, the Italian won in two games, 3-1 over Shelton and 3-0 over the Umbert. The match against Humbert lasted two hours and 40 minutes, with Sonego winning it 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 in two hours and 40 minutes. Sonego made three aces and three double faults, winning 79% of his first serve and 59% of his second. Receiving stats: 27%/50%, stats of winners/unforced errors 32/21.

Rublev played well on the clay this season, winning the Masters in Monte Carlo, getting to the finals in Banja Luka, and reaching the fourth round in Rome and Madrid. In Paris, he has two victories in two games - over Laslo Djere and Moutet in 4 sets. The match against Moutet lasted three hours. Rublev won the first, second, and fourth sets but failed the third one 3-6. Andrey fired six times and made five double faults, winning 74% of his first serves and 49% of his second. Reception stats 41%/45%, winners/unforced errors 46/43.

Lorenzo is not a bad clay courter, quite a dangerous opponent for the third RG round. Rublev looks better, so we're basically with him on that one. He'll win and take revenge for his loss to the Italian in the Rome Masters in 2021.
