Madison Keys vs Elena Rybakina Prediction: Madison looks in great touch

The WTA betting scene is surely not an easy one and the number of results can vary time and time again in an unpredictable scenario, For instance, the top five seeds are already on their way out and many unseeded players will be featuring in the Elite Eight fight. And this will be the case when Madison Keys will take on Elena Rybakina.

Keys has been on fire throughout this tournament. She began by defeating Yulia Putintseva in two sets. After that, she made a huge dent as she defeated Jelena Ostapenko. Things got only saucier from there as number one seed Iga Swiatek stood no chance at all. In that game, Madison had no trouble breaking Iga’s serve, churning out a 31-21 receiving points and she continued to dominate the Polish stalwart throughout the game.

This is after a long time that Madison has been able to make it to the Third Round/Quarterfinals and she has a golden chance to make it to the next round considering the rhythm she is in, not even dropping a set thus far. One of the key reasons for that is her love for playing on hard surface which has been in flow during the Cincinnati Masters, and in the USA, she has been able to go on deep runs before as well, reaching the US Open Finals in 2017. She also made it to the Semis in the Australian Open earlier this year.

Elena has been in great touch herself, constantly proving that she can become a top-five player with the way things are going. This has been another fantastic tournament for her as she beat Mayar Sherif in first round. Out-of-form Garbine Mugurza couldn’t fend off Elena even a bit and she comes into the game after easily defeating Alison Riske. Like Madison, she is yet to drop a set.

Elena made headlines when she defeated Ons Jabeur during Wimbledon and won her maiden Grand Slam title. While she can be a bit off with her timing sometimes, her laser serves and ability to accelerate the pace of the game have served her well. The success on grass would have given her a huge boost while an improved defensive game as helped her sustain rhythm even in three-set scenarios.

Madison and Elena have met just once and that was recently during the French Open where Rybakina won in three sets courtesy of the tiebreaker.

Both of these players pack a lot of power when serving and thus, a high-octane and quick-witted battle is bound to ensue. Rybakina comes in here with a two inches advantage and uses her height well to create tough angles. Keys can be in an uphill battle but she surely has the chops to compete with the power and height of Elena. All in all, I’d back Rybakina to win here.
