The professional tennis scene is full of relentless action and each month we see hundreds of top athletes competing for big-time price rewards. While each tournament holds a big value, we witness the best of battles when we enter the Grand Slam tourneys. Australian Open has been around since an era when video films were a rarity. Now, we are in an era where all we see are the videos in 4K! Anyway, in the Australian Open game, Jessica Petula takes on Barbora Krejcikova.

Jessica comes into the match after a comfortable 6-2, 6-0 win over Marta Kostyuk. Pegula did a great job of breaking Kostyuk’s serve repeatedly and had a 33-19 receiving points and to put the cherry on top, she also had a 31-25 service points advantage. She has not dropped a set thus far and except for a seven-game second set against Aliaksandra Sasnovich, she has not allowed her three opponents to win more than two games. Pegula didn’t play any tournament for more than two months before entering the Open, and last played during WTA Finals where she couldn’t make it to the knockouts. Pegula is yet to win a Grand Slam but she has been threatening to get a title.
Barbora Krejcikova
Barbora enters the contest after defeating Anhelina Kalinina 6-2, 6-3 in the Third Round. Barbora had a 68% win on first serve and dominated both the service and receiving points areas, having a seven receiving points advantage whereas having eight service points advantage. Through the first three rounds, Barbora is yet to drop a set, not letting her opponent win more than four games in any set. Krejcikova is one of the most consistent players in the world and she has continued to be a seeded player. Krejickova has won a Grand Slam in her career but her ranking has dropped a bit since the second half of last year.
Jessica Pegula vs Barbora Krejickova Head-to-Head
Surprisingly, this is the first time these two will clash.
Expert Betting Tips
Jessica has been in top form for a long time now and her strong service game and unparalleled forehand are well-suited for the hard surface. Krejickova has been reeling a bit at times but a player of her caliber can turn it around in a flash. Both players have displayed why they are considered elite level in the tournament so this is a tough scenario to predict. I see a three-set battle here.
