Bastad, Sweden.
14.07.2022 12:00
One of the matches of the round 2 in the Swedish Bastad will be a duel between the Argentine Coria and the No., Andrey Rublev. Bookmakers are on the side of Andrey, although we should not forget that the South Americans, in particular the Argentines, are quite dangerous opponents on the clay courts.
Get Your Welcome Bonus!Federico Coria
Federico is a pure clay courter. Before Wimbledon, Coria did not play a single match on grass, instead he won the Challenger on the ground in Milan. Still, he went to London, predictably dropping out after the first match. After that, the Argentine reached the quarterfinals of the Braunschweig tournament, losing to Laaksonen. Coria had already played one match in Bastad, knocking out Delbonis. Curiously enough, Federico gave the first set 0-6 but that didn't stop him from taking the next two sets by even score of 6-4 and winning the match. He made two aces and three double faults. Coria won 72% of his first serve points and 42% of his second. On the court Coria received 25% of his opponent's first serve points and 72% of his second.
Andrey Rublev
It's been a while since we've seen Andrey on the court, so it's hard to say what kind of form he is in at the moment. After a successful Roland Garros, where Rublev reached the fifth round and lost to Cilic, he has played just one grass match. In Halle, the world No. 8 failed in his first match to Nikoloz Basilashvili in two sets. Andrey spent the clay part of the season good enough. Except for the RG, Rublev reached the finals of the Belgrade tournament and played in the quarterfinals of the Madrid tournament.
Expert Betting Tips
Rublev outclasses the opponent, while Coria has had better practice. We'll see who wins, but it won't be easy for the No. 8. Rublev is more likely to win this one as he plays well on the clay and respects the ATP 250.
