Tennis Garden (Indian Wells)
In the last 32 of the Indian Wells tennis tournament, world number 13 Denis Shapovalov will face world number 23 Aslan Karatsev. The guys have not played each other yet, and bookmakers consider the Canadian a slight favourite.
Denis Shapovalov’s current form
Since the US Open, Denis Shapovalov has played three matches in two tournaments, at the Laver Cap and San Diego: two defeats to Medvedev and Norrie and a win over Fritz. At Indian Wells, Shapovalov spent just 269 minutes on the court. With a 3-0 in favour of Canadian Pospisil, Shapovalov’s opponent withdrew from the draw, citing an injury.
Of course, I’m pleased to be playing in a local tournament again. It’s not as cool in October as it was at the beginning of spring, but it’s still great to play in the US. I think the conditions will suit my tennis, so I’m looking forward to the opening match.

Aslan Karatsev’s current form
Karatsev also took part in the San Diego tournament, knocking Delbonis and Gurkac out of the draw, losing to Dimitrov in three sets. At the Indian Wells tournament, Karatsev played against Caruso, confidently defeating the Italian 6-0, 6-2. Overall, Aslan looks good now.
Expert Betting Tips
The guys haven’t played each other yet, but judging by the tournament in San Diego, Karatsev is in good form and will put up a fight against the Canadian. Shapovalov himself, although radiating confidence in his abilities, lost just a week ago to Norrie in two sets in an hour and 7 minutes, which, of course, does not embellish the Canadian. Here are the odds for this encounter: W2 for 2.01, Handicap 2 (2.5) for 1.90.
