Daniil Medvedev vs Felix Auger-Aliassime Prediction: Will Daniil beat Felix again?

The encounter between Russian Medvedev and Canadian Auger-Aliassime will be the main event of the quarterfinal in Rotterdam. It could be that whoever wins the upcoming match will win the tournament as a whole. For Medvedev, the competition in the Netherlands is an opportunity to get back into the top 10 of the ATP rankings, so there's no question that Medvedev is highly motivated.

The match against Barrer lasted one hour and 24 minutes, 6-4, 6-3, and a victory for the Canadian. Once again, Felix is the reigning winner of the Rotterdam tournament, and in addition to the Dutch competition, the Canadian won three more indoor tournaments in 2022. Incidentally, Medvedev has won seven indoor competitions in his career, including the Masters in Paris and the London Final.

Daniil and Felix have played each other four times on Tour, with Daniil winning all four head-to-head meetings. The lads have yet to meet each other in indoor competitions, but all the head-to-head matches have been played on the hard court: Toronto in 2018, the US Open in 2021, the ATP Cup, and the Australian Open in 2022.

Medvedev is as motivated as possible. Daniil wants to return to the top 10 of the ATP rankings, so he needs titles. A win against Auger-Aliassime will open the way for Daniil to the title in Rotterdam. In the event of a win against the Canadian, Daniil will become the main contender for the trophy; Tsitsipas and Rune are already out of the draw. Medvedev has a noticeable head-to-head advantage over Felix, which is also a plus for the Russian. We wonder if the upcoming match will be an easy walk for Medvedev. Expect at least one tie-break, and don't be surprised by three sets.
