Aryna Sabalenka vs Elise Mertens Prediction: Seamless Saba takes on meticulous Mertens

Mertens comes into the contest after defeating Lauren Davis 6-4, 6-3 in the Second Round. Mertens played one of her well-strategized games, eking out a 17:14 receiving points advantage and a 33-28 service points advantage. Mertens has done a great job thus far and her initial round win against tough Garbine Muguruza reached the final set and showcased her typical strong baseline defensive game. She came in this tournament after an average rhythm, not making deep runs in any tournament but she has many times turned her game up during major tournaments.

Sabalenka and Mertens have met eight times thus far and Saba has won six of those battles. 

Both the Head-to-Head and current form favors Sabalenka who is in the best rhythm of her life and has even defeated players ranked higher than her. This deep into the tournament her chances are still boisterous so Mertens can end up losing big here. I predict a straight-set win for Aryna here.
