Aryna Sabalenka vs Caroline Garcia Prediction: Can Aryna sustain her high?

The WTA Finals have now reached the final game and what a tournament we have had. Really, the playing field has been as competitive as it gets. We have seen a bunch of three sets battles and then we saw the biggest turnaround when Aryna Sabalenka defeated the number one ranked player and the most accomplished player this year Iga Swiatek. In this game, Aryna Sabalenka will take on Caroline Garcia

Aryna was on fire against Swiatek, winning 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 in the Semis to make it to the Final. Saba overwhelmed Swiatek who had not yet dropped a set so far before the game. Aryna nailed 12 Aces and she did what most players have been unable to do; break her serve. Sabalenka did commit nine double-faults which is a part of her aggressive game but it paid off in the end as she dusted off Iga in a big way. Sabalenka will come into the game with a lot of confidence and her chances look immense here. She has gone on to win games despite committing a ton of errors.

Garcia comes into the game after defeating Maria Sakkari 6-3, 6-2 to book her ticket to the title game. Garcia’s forehand was in full flow in the Semis, nailing 6 Aces and she took advantage of Sakkari’s inability to hit winners on the first serve. The main difference between the two players was the service points as Garcia took a 38-21 advantage. Garcia won eight out of 12 service games. Winning five games in a row gave Garcia the decisive advantage. Garcia has done well to recover from the defeat against Iga Swiatek and has shown her experience well lately.

Saba and Garcia have met four times and they have both won two each. Garcia and Sabalenka last met during this year’s Cincinnati Masters as Garcia won during the Semis.

This is not an easy one to predict as both players come in after facing defeat and then standing up to advance. Saba has received a huge boost after defeating Iga decisively, something which only a select few players have been able to do recently. This can be a close battle but Saba will need to commit fewer unforced errors because Garcia plays a clean game and doesn’t commit many errors. I believe Caroline will lift the title but this will go to three sets
