Andrey could not defend his title in Dubai, losing to Daniil Medvedev. After failing the final, Rublev lost to Daniil the sixth ATP position and the status of the first racket in the country. Rublev may regain his place in a week but must be better than Daniel at Indian Wells. Before the tournament in Dubai, Andrey lost in Rotterdam and Doha. Overall, Rublev's current tonus is okay, but Andrey did not play in the New World in 2023, and last season Rublev reached the semifinals at Indian Wells. We'll see how it goes this time.
Jiri Lehecka
The Czech made it to the semifinals in Doha. He lost to Murray, but before that, he knocked Rublev out. In the match against Murray, the guys scored a tie-break in the third set. After Qatar, Lehechka played one game in Dubai and lost in three sets to Alexander Zverev. In the first round of Indian Wells, he defeated Rinderknech 7-6, 7-5. It was a two-set match, but a long one, with 5/3 stats for Jiri on aces/doubles, 71%/48% win on serve, 34%/49% win/receive, 31/24 winners/unforced errors stats.
Expert Betting Tips
There is a feeling that Lehechka is somewhat underestimated. His results show that he has improved over the last year. Jiri already played one match at an Indian Wells tournament. Barely, but beat the Frenchman in two sets, so he's got practice. But for Rublev, the upcoming game will be his first at the tournament and in the New World this year. We believe Andrey will not have an easy walk because their head-to-head games were protracted.
