Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has only played two events since the US Open and has failed to win.
His last one came in the US Open, and since then he's lost to Matteo Berrettini at the US Open, Pavel Kotov in Astana, and Andy Murray in Gijon.
His inability to play consistent tennis affected the majority of his matches. He's one of those guys that, like Fognini and Bublik, you never know what you're going to get.
His preferred surface is clay, and you can usually anticipate a great effort there, but not so much on other surfaces.
He is capable of playing both offensive and defensive tennis. He like to attack, yet this makes him prone to mistakes, and there are many games when he plays himself out of them. Overall, the team had a 21-24 record and went 0-4 indoors.
Miomir Kecmanovic
Miomir Kecmanovic is coming off a solid week in Napoli, where he reached the semi-finals before losing in two sets to Lorenzo Musetti. The Serbian had a fantastic start to the season, kicking off what many expected to be a significant breakout year.
Although he could not achieve his goal, he established himself as one of the top 50 players on the ATP circuit. So far, the Serbian has a 39-24 record, but this will be his first indoor competition. He played some indoor matches previously in the Davis Cup and fared well, despite having a mixed career record indoors.
Nothing exceptional with only 20 victories and 19 losses. He's considerably better outside, but if given a chance, he can play well enough to beat strong guys. He's also pretty consistent in that he plays well for a while before regressing. It's more noticeable from month to month than from match to match.
Expert Betting Tips
In general, the Spaniard might win this match, but he's been so unreliable that it's difficult to endorse him. I'll take the Serbian to win and accept the outcome.
