Zak Surety will compete against Si Jiahui in the opening round of the Snooker World Championship 2022, taking place on April 6, 2022, at the English Institute of Sports (Sheffield).

He lost 4–1 in the final round of the second tournament against David John, although he would receive entrance into several events next season as a top-up player owing to his strong Q School Order of Merit position.
Surety qualified for the European Masters with 4–2 and 4–1 victories over Kyren Wilson and Antony Parsons. However, Liang Wenbo knocked him out in the first round. He defeated Darryl Hill 4–3 in the first round of the Northern Ireland Open. However, he was defeated 4–2 by Hossein Vafaei. Surety left the tour at the conclusion of the year after failing to complete Q School.
Si Jiahui – Chinese Professional Snooker Player
Si qualified for the 2019–20 and 2020–21 professional Main Tours through Q School in May 2019 as the highest-ranked player on the Q School ranking list who did not advance to the semi-finals of any of the three tournaments.
In the first round, Si's first professional wins were a 4–0 triumph over Soheil Vahedi and a 4–1 win over Stuart Bingham in the second round of the 2019 English Open.
