Gary Wilson vs. Mark King: Who Will Make it To the Second Quarter?

Gary Wilson and Mark King are both fan favorites from the past season, and people are looking forward to see them compete against each other in Gibraltar Open 2022 1st quarter taking place this Thursday on 24th March.

Gary Wilson is a professional English snooker player from Wallsend, North Tyneside, Tyne, and Wear.

Wilson qualified for the 2017 World Championship with flying colors. He won 10–9 after making a 147 in the fourth frame against Josh Boileau. On his first appearance in the event, he faced Ronnie O'Sullivan and rebounded from 5–1 down to 5–4 after the first session. He trailed 9–5 before winning two frames in a row, but O'Sullivan eventually scored the frame he needed to advance 10–7. During the match, Wilson made two-century breaks.

Wilson overcame Luca Brecel, Mark Selby, and Ali Carter in the 2019 Snooker World Championship semi-finals before losing 17–11 to eventual champion Judd Trump. Wilson made his third career maximum break against Liam Highfield in the WST Pro Series group stage. This was the first maximum break in the event's history and the 166th maximum in snooker history.

Mark King is a professional snooker player from England.

King, who became professional in 1991, was rated among the world's top 32 players between 1996 and 2015, and he won his first ranking event victory in 2016, defeating Barry Hawkins 9–8 in the Northern Ireland Open final. He has also competed in two more ranking event finals: the 1997 Welsh Open, in which he lost 2–9 to Stephen Hendry, and the 2004 Irish Masters, in which he lost 10–7 to Peter Ebdon.

King has reached the World Championships' final 16 seven times, in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2008, 2009, and 2013, but has never advanced.

While both players have their own triumphs and experiences, Gary Wilson is in a better form to win this match against Mark King, but this will surely be an exceptional fight for the survival of First Quarter.
