Western Force vs. Reds: Can Force Continue Winning Over Reds?

Western Force and Reds will oppose each other in one of the matches scheduled for 4 March 2022. These games are a part of round 3 of the Super League and will be played at HBD Park, Perth.

In the last match of the Super Rugby, Force finally beat Rebels 28-3, before which the team suffered 7 successive defeats. With this recent win, the team proved that they were back in the game. It had been a while since they were able to score a victory. Their winning streak of 3 against Rebels 16-15, Waratahs 31-30, and Reds 30-27 broke following which, they were out of luck for some time. Of the 2 rounds Force has participated in, they lost their first game to Brumbies 29-23. After losing 3 times, Force won a single head to head in 2021. These recent winnings might be a sign that they are prepared to add some more victories to the record and make some overall improvement to cover the past losses.

In the past tournaments, the Reds have been commendable in the field. Their performance was a bit off track for a while. However, the team regained their old pace, which is perceptible by their performance in the last two rounds of the Super League against Rebels 23-5 and Waratahs 20-16. In 2022, Reds remained unbeaten for 7 consecutive games; some of these incredible victories were over Waratahs 41-7, 46-14, and Rebels 44-19. The squad highlighted their capabilities against the Force, earning 3 wins in row 31-24, 57-5, and 26-19. Even though they lost the last game, it undoubtedly ended in a tough fight 30-27. The Reds couldn’t maintain their streak over the Force, but they still have the upper hand, which they wouldn’t like to change.
