Sydney Roosters vs Wests Tigers Prediction: Roosters won’t fall Tigers prey

Sydney Football Stadium will host the National Rugby League action between Sydney Roosters and Wests Tigers. Both teams are off a win in their last league game. Which team will extend their run?

Sydney Roosters picked their second consecutive win in a row following a 26-8 victory over the Canterbury Bulldogs last weekend. However, this team had defeated the Parramatta Eels in a prior encounter. Looking at the Sydney Roosters’ last eight league games, they have won six and lost two. In 15 matches this season, Sydney Roosters have 20 points accumulated, positioning them 4th in the standings. 

Wests Tigers made it consecutive wins last time out against Canberra Raiders, securing a 48-24 victory. However, the prior encounter to that win saw Wests Tigers defeat Gold Coast Titans in a game that ended 18-10. However, previous games to those wins saw xWests Tigers play nine consecutive matches without a win. So far this season, Wests Tigers have 12 points accumulated from 14 games, leaving them 16th in the standings. 

The Sydney Roosters should win this game despite Wests Tigers’ recent improved play. At home, the Roosters are well favored, and while the West Tigers have not been consistent this season, I do not see consistency from them here, hence, the end of their run of victories.
