Salford Red Devils vs. Toulouse Olympique: An Opportunity for Toulouse to Avenge their Last Defeat

After a successful completion of round 1 of the Super League, the teams are ready to compete once again. The Day 2 matches are scheduled for 17-20 February, and for the last game, Salford Red Devils and Toulouse Olympique will be in competition at the AJ Bell Stadium, England. 

Salford Red Devils opposed Castleford Tigers in round 1 of the Super League and successfully defeated them 26-16. In 2021, the team won half of the last 10 games they participated in, most of which were great victories. Starting from Castleford 70-18, the Red Devils piled successes against Wakefield 24-14, Huddersfield 18-12, Hull FC 42-14, and finally by St. Helens 26-14. The only game in which Salford has played with Toulouse was in 2018, when they scored an impressive win 44-10. The coming game is an opening for the Devils to start building a winning streak, and they surely look forward to it.

Toulouse had to face an unfortunate defeat by Huddersfield 42-14 in the first round of the League. However, the team remained unbeaten for the last 14 games of the Championship. They even whitewashed London Broncos 24-0, Widnes 70-0, Whitehaven 66-0 in these tournaments. The last 2 matches Toulouse played undefeated were against Batley 51-12 and Featherstone 34-12 in the Championship Play-Offs. However, they didn’t have luck on their side when they were in opposition with Salford in 2018 and lost the single head-to-head they have played. Keeping in mind their past accomplishments, Olympiques are a great threat to the Salfords. To score a streak against them, the Devils will have to be at their best and beat the unbeatable.
