Newcastle Knights (Women) vs. Brisbane Broncos (Women): Will the Circumstances Be Any Different for Knights This Time?

The NRLW started on 27 February 2022 and will continue for a whole month. The teams have completed a single round of the League so far, and round 2 is scheduled for 6 March 2022. For one of the games on this day, Newcastle Knights will be up against Brisbane Broncos. This match will be played at WIN Stadium, Wollongong. 

The Knights have competed in the Premiership for the first time this season. Since this tournament is a new experience for the team, they’ll have mixed feelings of excitement and nervousness. Although the Knights have already competed in the first round, they haven’t been successful, unfortunately, which will certainly put them under more pressure. The team will undoubtedly be looking forward to doing better than their first game and making a gradual but historical entrance. If the Knights win this game, they’ll also be initiating the head-to-head score with an upper hand which will look good on their list of accomplishments.

According to the record, Brisbane has lost a single game to New Zealand Warriors 10-8, which was 2 years back. Currently, the squad has had 6 uninterrupted victories added to the list in the Telstra Premiership Women. In 2019, Broncos won over Dragons 14-4 and whitewashed Sydney Roosters. The team then beat NZ Warriors 28-14, Dragons 18-4, and Rooster 24-16 in 2020 of the Premiership. After a single year break, Brisbane scored their first win of 2022 in the first round by Sydney Roosters 20-4 once again. The coming game is the first time the Broncos will take on the Newcastle Knights. The team’s past results enlighten that they’ve got some good experience to flex in the field this weekend.
