Western Suburbs Magpies were the team to watch in 2021, with a youthful, skilled, and entertaining team that produced plenty of pyrotechnics on the field during the season. Ben Gardiner's men scored the most points of any team in the league, making them the most thrilling to watch.
They completed the year in second place on the ladder with nine victories, four defeats, and one draw, and if it hadn't been for COVID-19 causing the competition to be interrupted for a second straight season, the Magpies would've been on the verge of taking the championship, if not winning it all.
Past Performance of Newcastle Knights
Last year, the number five played a significant role for the Knights in The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup.
Newcastle finished fifth on the ladder, with five players progressing to the NRL: Brayden Musgrove (wing), Simi Sasagi (half), Jirah Momisea (back row), Mat Croker (prop), and Dominic Young (centre).
In 2021, the team had its ups and downs, winning six games but also losing six. They did, however, demonstrate a considerable amount of activity.
Expert Betting Tips
With Magpies exceptional performance last year, we are positive to see Magpies securing a win against Knights on the debut match this Monday in the Morry Breen Oval ground. However, we are confident that this won’t be an easy win, and Knights will surely give a tough fight to Magpies.
