Leeds Rhinos vs. St. Helens: Saints must not overlook the struggling Leeds Rhinos

With only one win in the first six rounds of the Betfred Super League, the Rhinos are now tied for the bottom position with Castleford and Toulouse.

The game is scheduled for Friday, April 1.

Leeds, now led by interim head coach Jamie Jones-Buchanan and former Saints hero Sean Long following the departure of head coach Richard Agar, will be hoping that their biggest test this season will spark their season, if not with a win then with a major performance improvement.

The appointment of Rhinos icon JJB is clearly an attempt to recreate the zeal and intensity he has shown during his playing career, something they have lacked in the first two months.

Unfortunately for him and Leeds supporters, this did not happen last Saturday in his first game in charge, as the club's season continued to deteriorate as they were knocked out of the Betfred Challenge Cup by Castleford by a score of 40-16.

Normal business was restored in the same competition when the Saints defeated a spirited Whitehaven team 46-4.

As predicted, the first 20 minutes were difficult against a very physical and resilient Haven, who had a very noisy home crowd behind them.

After surviving the storm, however, quality prevailed, as the holders scored eight tries by eight different players, including six forwards!

I can't see anything except a Saints victory. There's little question that Leeds will want to shock the visitors right away, but it won't be enough. I'm predicting a St Helens victory by 16 points or more.
