Hull Kingston Rovers vs. Castleford Tigers: Tigers To Defeat Hulls KR

Hull KR and Castleford battled for a spot in the play-offs at the end of last season in what seemed like a shootout. Fast forward to the start of the current season, and both are still searching for their first win at Craven Park on 8th April 2022.

Hull KR suffered back-to-back defeats to Huddersfield Giants last week, and their dismal first-half performance will have been of particular concern to head coach Tony Smith.

Rovers were 16-0 down at halftime, and while they recovered in the second half, the damage had already been done, and in order to get off to a good start this season, they will have to contend with the absence of Lachlan Coote once more.

Castleford Tigers lost their second game in a row under new head coach Lee Radford, as they struggled on the road against Warrington Wolves last week.

The Tigers were terrible on both sides of the ball in the 34-10 loss, and with Jake Mamo and Kenny Edwards injured and George Lawler's suspension, the away side has a lot of work to do to get off to a good start in 2022.
