Brisbane Broncos vs. South Sydney Rabbitohs: An Opening for Broncos to Start With a Twist

The National Rugby League will commence its first week on 10 March 2022. One of the matches scheduled for the second day of the week, that is, 11 March, will have Brisbane Broncos opposing South Sydney Rabbitohs at Suncorp Stadium, Australia. Since it’s their first game, the teams will be looking forward to giving their best and starting fresh. 

Last month, Brisbane Broncos competed in the NRL Pre-Season, and of the 2 games they competed in, 1 ended in a tiebreaker with Gold Coast Titans while the other in defeat to NQ Cowboys. In the previous season, the Broncos scored some good wins but weren’t very lucky at times. Some of their victories through the last series were by Titans 36-28, Sydney Roosters 34-16, Cronulla Sharks 26-18, NQ Cowboys 37-18, New Zealand Warriors 24-22, and Newcastle Knights 35-22. The team also whitewashed Canterbury Bulldogs during the same tournament. The Broncos might not have a significant share of success, but they do pretty well while in their best form. Hence this season, they’ll surely be aiming to build some streaks and add tremendous victories to the list.

Unlike Broncos, South Sydney Rabbitohs lost both of their NRL Pre-Season games. Nonetheless, their past performance compensates for it. The team's recent 2 wins were during the playoffs, by Penrith Panthers 16-10 and Manly Sea Eagles 36-16. In the league's last season, Rabbitohs did an incredible job in the field, and their record makes it evident. They formed a streak of 10 wins before losing to Penrith Panthers 25-12. However, these victories include some magnificent games with Brisbane Broncos 46-0, New Zealand Warriors 60-22, and St. George Illawarra Dragons 50-14. Moreover, the squad also dominates the head-to-head with 3 of 3 wins. The team might have been performing slower, but, predictably, they’ll be eager to regain momentum and be as great as they were in the past series.
