As recent major tournaments have shown, the era of Nadal and Djokovic is ending. The Spaniard, the Serb, and Roger Federer, terrorized men's tennis for two decades, splitting almost all Grand Slams between them.
Now, it appears to be the era of Carlos Alcaraz. Ahead of the Paris Olympics, the Spanish talent took Roland Garros and Wimbledon in succession and has won four Grand Slam tournaments since 2022. With Alcaraz looking unbeatable of late, his status as the main favorite for the upcoming Olympics is fitting.
Iga Swiatek
In women's tennis, the main hegemon of the last decades ended his career quite a long time ago. Serena Williams collected 23 Grand Slam tournaments between 2002 and 2017. Since then, essentially anyone can win any major tennis tournament. A great example is the most recent Wimbledon tournament. It was won by Barbora Krejčíková, who was seeded as high as No. 31.
At the same time, there is a clear favorite at the upcoming Olympics - Iga Swiatek. The tournament will be held on a dirt court, and the Polish tennis player has won the last three and four of the previous five Roland Garos.
Expert Betting Tips
Carlos Alcaraz is in incredible form, and at the moment, he seems impossible to beat. No one has been able to attend Roland Garros and Wimbledon, and we don't think anyone will be able to attend the Paris Olympics either. We believe that the bookmakers have correctly chosen the favorite here.
The choice of the favorite in the women's part of the net is also probably correct. However, given the unpredictability of the WTA in recent years, the odds on Iga Swiatek are still very low. It is quite possible that the women's tournament will not be without a sensation again, so we bet here against the favorite.
