Valentin Moldavsky vs Ante Delia Prediction: It's going to be a tough win

The PFL 1 tournament of the 2024 season will be held in the United States on the night of April 4-5. The main event will be a fight between former Bellator interim champion and PFL 2022 winner Ante Delia.

Valentin Moldavsky was a two-time world champion in amateur combat sambo, and in professional mixed martial arts he won the Bellator interim title in 2021.

But in the fight with Bader he could not take the full belt, and then he was knocked out by Linton Vassell. His last fight was in August of last year and he confidently dealt with Steve Mowery.

Valentin is not a particularly spectacular fighter, he goes to success like a tank, he scores points confidently and does not like to take risks. Fedor Emelianenko has high hopes for him and it's obvious that Moldovan still need to improve and work on.

Ante Delia once had three fights in the Russian league M-1 Global (where, by the way, he lost due to injury to Marcin Tybura), after that he fought in Rizin and KSW, but it was in PFL that he fully revealed himself. He even became champion in 2022, and now he's on a streak of five straight wins (three of them by knockout). By the way, in this series Delia managed to knock out Renan Ferreira in the first round, the same huge Brazilian who knocked out both Denis Goltsov and Ryan Bader a little later.

In his last fight, the Croatian won a unanimous decision over former UFC fighter Maurice Greene.

We hope that Valentin has already made all his mistakes and will start the new stage of his career with a victory. Ante Delia is a very dangerous opponent, perhaps the most dangerous in the whole roster of the heavyweight division, but the Russian still has a bit more arguments to win.

Valentin Moldavsky's skill set seems a bit more serious, but the Croatian's punching power can confuse all plans. That's why the Russian won't take any risks again, but will try to drag his opponent in clinch and parterre.
