Tai Tuivasa vs Alexander Volkov Prediction: Volkov to demonstrate superiority once again

When they enter the Qudos Bank Arena ring for the Heavyweight - UFC Men fight, Tai Tuivasa and Alexander Volkov intend to give it their all. Both Tai Tuivasa and Alexander Volkov come into the octagon ranked sixth and eighth in the world, respectively, in the heavyweight division. In spite of this, Australian Tai Tuivasa will be looking to improve his record after suffering a defeat in his most recent bout, while Russian Alexander Volkov will be hoping to extend the winning streak that he has been on. 

Tai Tuivasa's most recent fight in the Octagon was against Sergei Pavlovich, and a punch to the head knocked him out in the first round. Pavlovich was successful with 23 of the total 44 strikes that he attempted to land throughout that competition. In that bout, Tai Tuivasa walked away with two strikes out of a total of ten. In the end, Alexandr Romanov was successful in landing none of the significant blows he took from a distance, whereas Alexander Volkov was successful in landing 33 percent of his significant blows from a distance. In the end, Volkov was successful in executing 80% of the significant strikes he attempted, landing 12 out of 15. Eight of his eleven significant blows to the head connected with their target. During that fight, Romanov was unable to land any big blows. In terms of the accuracy of the placement of these heavy blows, he ultimately connected with the head on 0 of 1. In the bout, Romanov was unsuccessful with every one of the strikes he attempted to land, while Alexander Volkov was successful with 27 of the 35 total strikes he attempted.

Tai Tuivasa is the underdog in this fight, and it is easy to see why that is the case considering the fact that he has lost his last two fights by knockout, one to Ciryl Gane and the other to Sergey Pavlovic, respectively. In spite of the fact that he is the underdog, "Bam Bam" will do everything in his power to perform at his highest level and give his all while also earning the support of his people. The betting favorite is Alexander Volkov, but he has been knocked out twice in the past few years, so he may not win. The previous year, he was defeated by Tom Aspinall by knockout, but he has won his past two fights in a row. Tuivasa has a good chance of knocking out the huge Russian if he can get inside Volkov's guard and hit his clubbing shots. Tuivasa has won 13 of his 14 victories by knockout, including notable victories over the likes of former UFC Heavyweight Title contender Derrick Lewis, former champion Andrei Arlovski, and Stefan Struve; thus, it is most likely that he will win the fight via knockout or technical knockout.
