Shamil Gaziev vs Greg Velasco Prediction: Both are Fast and Furious

On the evening of September 20th, the seventh edition of the Dana White Contender Series tournament will take place in Las Vegas. A fight between Shamil Gaziev and American Greg Velasco will headline it. The bout will take place in the heavyweight division, and both fighters are undefeated in their careers.

We remember Shamil Gaziev well after he knocked out Grigoriy Ponomarev in a furious bout at the AMC Fight Night two years ago in Sochi. After that, Shamil had four fights in different leagues, winning all (by submission, split decision, and twice by knockout). In his last bout, he finished former UFC fighter and KSW title challenger Darko Stosic at Brave CF. Gaziev has won all but one of his victories early in his career and has only been knocked out once in the third round.

Greg Velasco, like Gaziev, has yet to taste the bitterness of defeat and has also won almost all of his wins early. He spent his entire career in the American promotion Cage Fury FC, where he became champion and defended the belt in his last fight by knocking out Ronald Coleman.
