The first Tatar in the UFC began his professional martial arts career in 2013, and before that, he was an amateur in combat sambo. As a pro, he traveled through various leagues, became champion of Gorilla FC, and was invited to the UFC when he finished his opponent in front of Dana White. 

In the strongest league in the world, Rinat has done pretty well so far - four wins and one draw against some pretty strong opposition (Kevin Lee, Elizeu Zaleski, Nicolas Dalby). So we wonder why he's not yet in the top 15 and why the league isn't giving him a chance to get there.

The 30-year-old Brazilian is a quick study and is best known for his performances in the PFL, where he even won over Ray Cooper III, although both defeats came at Sadibou Sy's hands. In 2024, however, he had two fights in other leagues (LFA and UAE Warriors), both of which he won by technical knockout in the first round.

Carlos has a real name, has seen some serious opposition, and is capable of a knockout. Incidentally, he came on as a substitute in the Cooper fight, which he won.
