Oleg Popov vs Davion Franklin Prediction: No chance for the American

Oleg Popov has only suffered one defeat in his career, and that was a long time ago - back in 2016. Last year he travelled overseas and has been fighting quite successfully there too, in his last fight Oleg knocked out the huge Steve Mowery in the PFL, and before that he defeated Gohan Sarikam on points in Bellator.

Popov wins most often by knockout, but is great in wrestling as well. Despite the fact that he is not young (32 years old) Oleg is progressing with each fight and has not yet reached his full potential.

American fighter Davion Franklin comes on as a substitute and does not stand out in any interesting way. He has little experience in MMA - only eight fights (all in Bellator), and has yet to see strong opposition. In his last fight he lost by technical knockout (injury) to Slim Trabelsi.

Franklin's skill level is impressive to say the least (to put it mildly), even against not the most serious opposition. Overall, we don't see how he'll be able to cause any problems for Oleg Popov, especially since he's coming on as a substitute.
