Grishin is an experienced 39–year-old Russian fighter. He has performed in professional MMA since 2008 and made his name in the M-1 Global League. However, Maxim had a lot of fights, and before the UFC, he fought pretty successfully in the PFL (six fights and only one controversial defeat). It did not go unnoticed by the UFC matchmakers, and he received a fight with Marcin Tybura, who lost.
