Dana White, when asked about the future of Magomed Ankalaev, said literally the following: "If he wins spectacularly that he will certainly get the title fight". There is no doubt that Magomed will win, but what is spectacular in White's opinion?

There's probably a whole generation of fans who haven't seen Aleksandar Rakic win. It's a joke, of course, but his last win was back in 2021. Since then, the Serb has had only two fights (pausing between them to recover from injury) and in both of them he lost by technical knockout to Jan Blachowicz and Jiri Prohazka.

The odds, of course, are absolutely crazy, but we won't deny that Ancalaev is the favorite.

Both fighters are excellent second-line fighters, and both are capable of deadly counter-attacks, so we don't really believe that Magomed will rush to nail his opponent from the start and, consequently, to pin Dana White to the wall. We expect that for a round, or even another, he will try to avoid mistakes, look for weaknesses in his opponent's defense, and build up the pressure gradually.
