Kai Kara-France

The 31-year-old Kai Kara-France is in his sixth year of fighting in the UFC. It was the New Zealander who dealt the first and only defeat to Askar Askarov.

Kara-France has wins over tough guys, but things are not going well for him right now. First, Kai lost by TKO to Brandon Moreno, and last fight he lost by extremely controversial decision to Amir Albazi.

Although Kara-France fights in the flyweight division, he possesses a hard, knockout punch. Kai is currently ranked fourth in the division's rankings.

.

Steve Erceg

The 29-year-old Erceg's ascent has been quite meteoric. After winning his three starting fights in the UFC, Steve was immediately given a title fight.

The Australian looked decent in his fight with Alexandre Pantoja, lasted all five rounds, but lost by unanimous decision.

Steve is excellent at catching opponents on choke holds (half of his career wins have been by submissions), but in the UFC so far Erceg has not fully shown his abilities in the parterre. The Australian is currently ranked seventh on the list of the strongest fighters in the lightweight division.

Expert Betting Tips

The favourite for the fight is Steve Erceg, and you can argue with that. The Australian coolly knocked out Matt Schnell on his way to the title shot, but decision victories over Alessandro Costa and David Dvorak are not his most notable achievement.

At the same time, Kara-France is much more experienced and has met much more serious opposition in the octagon. Kai took a year off from fighting and now we can expect a revitalised version of him.
