Jiri Prochazka

Jiri Prochazka started his way in martial arts with football fights, and then he became seriously interested in Thai boxing, even becoming the Czech champion in this sport. But in mixed martial arts he went even further - step by step becoming champion of GCF, Rizin (where, by the way, he even managed to cope with Vadim Nemkov) and, finally, in 2022 UFC.

Czech Samurai prefers to fight in the stand-up, and usually gets into the parterre not by his own will. His striking technique is very intricate, and he puzzles classical boxers.

After an impressive streak of thirteen straight wins (three of them in the UFC) and a title shot, Prochazka nobly left the belt to heal his injuries. After a pause of almost a year and a half, he returned but lost by Corner Stoppage to Alex Pereira, who found arguments against his focus.

The Czech always treats his opponents with respect, prepares for fights seriously, and you can be sure that if he takes the fight, you shouldn't expect any favours or mercy from him.

Aleksandar Rakic

Aleksandar Rakic, just like Prochazka came to MMA from Thai boxing, and just like him, he wins most often by knockout.

He's been at the top of the rankings for a long time, but he's never been able to make the main event. He lost to Jan Blachowicz in the spring of 2022 (knee injury) and hasn't stepped into the cage since.

Expert Betting Tips

In the bookmaker lines, Aleksandar Rakic goes as a slight favorite, and that surprises us somewhat. Rakic is likely to follow the path Pereira has laid out, smashing his opponent with low kicks - he'll catch the former champion on counterpunches and work as a second number in general. He certainly has a good chance of winning on points, but that's assuming he doesn't make a single mistake. This is hard to believe, but Prochazka's resilience is well known. In addition, the Czech will again surprise with his unusual style, which is impossible to adapt to. We still bet on Jiri, and we doubt very much that Alexander will be able to return to his best level.
