Francis Ngannou's star began to rise in 2018 when he began his UFC title run. The Cameroonian achieved his goal three years later, scored six straight powerful victories (knocked out Stipe Miocic, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Curtis Blaydes, among others) and even managed to defend the belt in a fight with Ciryl Gane unexpectedly dragging the latter in the fight.
But he was not satisfied with the fees in the UFC, so he left the strongest league in the world, signed in the PFL, but never fought here. Nevertheless, Francis did not sit idle, and boxed with the world's top fighters, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Both fights he lost, of course, but to Tyson very close and even managed to send the latter to knockdown in one of the episodes.
Renan Ferreira
Renan Ferreira appeared in the PFL in 2021, before that he played in local organizations, and not to say that very successfully. But gradually, step by step, the huge Brazilian learned to use his anthropometry (height - 203 cm, arm span - 216 cm) and last year became the league champion, defeating Denis Goltsov by technical knockout in the final.
In his first title defense (February of this year), Ferreira didn't leave even a hint of a chance for Ryan Bader, knocking him out at the 21st second of the fight (remember that Bader was Bellator champion at the time).
Expert Betting Tips
Francis Ngannou has fought after all (two boxing fights) and fought some very, very serious guys. Yes, of course it's not MMA, but there won't be much MMA in the fight with Ferreira either, they both prefer to fight in the stand-up and mostly on the hands.
We're betting on an early finish to the fight, and an urgent one at that. They both possess striking power, and they both not really sweating about defense. The straightforward style of each of them just screams that there will be missed punches, and any touch here could be the last. We also note that we don't really believe that Ngannou will try to repeat the trick he did against Cyril Gane.
