Denis Goltsov

Denis Goltsov has been competing in the PFL since 2019, every season he was considered one of the clear favourites for the main prize, but every time something prevented him from becoming champion - either injuries, or lack of visa... Last year Denis got as close as possible, reached the final and quite suddenly lost by technical knockout to the huge Renan Ferreira.

We believe that the defeat in the main event didn't break Goltsov, and he has already started to prove it himself, finishing the difficult Linton Vassell in April.

Denis is a fighter with no obvious weaknesses in his game, he is excellent both in the stand-up and in the parterre, he is physically strong, intelligent and has a wide arsenal of skills. Thiago Santos is unlikely to be an insurmountable obstacle for him at this stage.

.

Thiago Santos

Thiago Santos has been a big name in the UFC for a while now, and even fought Jon Jones in a title fight on equal terms (many experts believe he won, but the judges ruled otherwise, giving Jones the split decision victory).

And it was with that defeat in 2019 that Santos' losing streak began, a streak that continues to this day. He has only one win in his last seven fights, but it's still worth noting that his best - Glover Teixeira, Aleksandar Rakic, Magomed Ankalaev, and Jamal Hill - beat him. Tiago had his previous fight already in the PFL, where he lost by judge's decision to honoured veteran Yoel Romero.

Expert Betting Tips

Thiago Santos is nearing the end of his career, his injuries are not fully healed, his physical condition is not the same, and he doesn't look like the guy who used to chase Jon Jones around the cage and knock out Jan Blachowicz.

In addition, short notice, critical age, heavier (unusual) weight class and an opponent who is on the move and eager to prove to everyone and himself that he won't make the mistakes of the past.
