Calvin Kattar

The 34-year-old "Boston Finisher" is one of the most uncompromising fighters not only in the featherweight division, but in the entire organization. Kattar is a big fan of bloody showdowns and always welcomes fierce standup exchanges. There's some speculation that underneath the skin shell hides a real terminator. Otherwise it's hard to explain Calvin's resilience to the sheer number of hits.

But Kattar's amazing resilience still keeps him from becoming a champion. Facing the true elite of the division, Calvin lacks the fighting skills to emerge victorious. On October 30 he will face arguably the most promising fighter in the division. It's worth noting that Kattar's last fight was a controversial loss to Josh Emmett by split decision.

.

Arnold Allen

The 28-year-old Brit has been in the UFC since 2015, but only now he made it to the fight with the real top. Allen has a very impressive statistic, winning all nine fights in the organization, and in his last fight he destroyed the once formidable Dan Hooker, who was looking to reboot his career in the welterweight division. Two and a half minutes was enough time for Allen to point out Dan's big mistake.

Arnold is currently rankede sixth in the featherweight division, but a win over Kattar would mean the Brit is fully prepared for a title fight with Alexander Volkanovski. The Almighty has cleaned up the division, and now he's dreaming of becoming the double champion of the strongest promotion in the world. To avoid another unnecessary rematch, we are sure Dana White will give the British kid a chance if he gets his tenth win this coming weekend.

Expert Betting Tips

This encounter will be a classic fight between an experienced fighter and an ambitious prospect. The bookies doubt the winner of the fight and we completely agree with them. Really, it's hard to name the favorite and at this point it doesn's seem worth taking a risk.

But it's bound to be a really exciting fight. If it doesn't end in the first round, the bout might as well be considered fight of the year. The thing is that the opponents are not fond of wrestling and fights on the ground. Both of them prefer to have standup fights.

Yes, at first glance it may seem that the Brit has a better chance. He's younger, he hasn't lost in the UFC yet, but experience will play on Kattar's side. Arnold never made it past the third round in his fights, but Calvin spent last four fights in the octagon for 25 minutes each. We are sure Allen's team has that fact in mind, so the fighter will be encouraged to finish the fight as early as possible.

Given that the fighters are likely to be knocked out in the standup, there's a good chance of an early victory. The fight is very unlikely to go all the distance.

Our prediction: Fight To Go The Distance - No.
