Asu Almabaev vs CJ Vergara Prediction: the Promising Kazakh Fighter Will Finish His Opponent

The UFC 299 tournament is scheduled for March 10th in the United States. Kazakh fighter Asu Almabaev will face American CJ Vergara in the lightest weight category as part of the preliminary card.

Asu Almabaev, a former M-1 Global and Naiza FC champion has a strong wrestling background. In 2022, he fought in the respectable Arabian promotion Brave CF, confidently winning all three of his bouts. The following year, he debuted in the UFC by submitting Ode Osborne. This victory was so impressive that Almabaev received tremendous applause from fans and high praise from experts. He is already being touted as a future champion, and rightfully so. Currently, Asu Almabaev rides a fourteen-win streak, with most of his victories coming early.

Almabaev was not the most impressive Kazakh flyweight at his time, but he now has the opportunity to become the most legendary. Asu made his UFC debut with an early win. CJ Vergara has been a UFC fighter since 2021 and has competed in five fights, winning three and losing two. He specializes in fighting on his feet as a basic Thai boxer but struggles with wrestling. 

He is comfortable with his style and prefers standing fighting over wrestling. He needs to fight as often as possible, regardless of the opposition. Asu maintains his weight and is always in good shape. The level of the opposition will slowly grow, but he is ready for any challenge.
