Winnipeg vs Chicago Prediction: the Jets Won't Suffer a Defeat

Winnipeg has already played their first game of the new NHL season. The Jets have a formidable lineup, which is capable to compete in the Stanley Cup, or at least for the higher rounds of the playoffs. In the first game in particular, the Jets showed some great hockey, thrashingt Edmonton in a shutout on the road. In the process, Winnipeg unleashed their offensive potential, scoring six goals in a 6-0 rout.

For Chicago, this season appears to be another failure. Last year, the Blackhawks finished 15th in the West and did not even have the first pick in the draft. This time, they got off to a poor start, although they have improved considerably since then. So Chicago went to visit the NHL rookie - Utah. However, the goals from Teuvo Teräväinen and Nick Foligno were not enough to prevent a 5-2 defeat.

Obviously, Winnipeg is the favourite for the next game. The Jets have had a great start to the season, beating last year's Stanley Cup finalists 6-0 away, and will be facing the underdogs at home.
