Toronto vs Pittsburgh Prediction: We Believe in Toronto

Toronto is approaching the game against Pittsburgh, not in the worst shape. In their last five games, the Leafs have three wins - 5-2 over Philadelphia, 2-1 over Boston, and 3-1 over Carolina - and two overtime losses, 3-4 to Anaheim and 3-4 to Vegas. The Maple Leafs thus earned eight points, moving up to seventh in the Eastern Conference standings and fourth in the Atlantic Division. 

Pittsburgh is much more disappointing. They gained only 13 points in 13 games, so they are happy with only the 14th place in the East and the last but one in the Capital One division. The Penguins are not living up to expectations, and the hockey they show leaves much to be desired. In the last game, the Penguins finally ended their awful seven-game losing streak by beating Washington 4-1.

Toronto is a favorite, which is not surprising at all. While the Maple Leafs are struggling to stay in the playoff zone, Pittsburgh isn't even hinting at a comeback. The Penguins have failed seven of their last ten games, which does not inspire confidence. On this basis, we suggest betting on a win for the hosts.
