Pittsburgh vs Los Angeles Prediction: Bet on the Penguins

On October 21, PPG PAINTS Arena will host Pittsburgh and Los Angeles for the NHL regular season matchup.

Pittsburgh is a team that found itself in a difficult situation due to the belief in the leaders of the former summer. The Pennsylvanians' management gave Kris Letang, Bryan Rust, and Evgeni Malkin solid contracts in the summer, despite their age, after which there was little money left under the wage ceiling. In the opening round of the current regular season, the Black and White lost to Vegas and Seattle 3-4 and 1-4, respectively, but then they beat Minnesota 7-6, Detroit 5-4, and the day before, they beat Nashville 4-3. Los Angeles is gradually improving.  

Pittsburgh and Los Angeles can hardly be expected to solve big problems this season, but they started the regular season quite well. It should be noted that for the Kings, the current trip already turned out very difficult, as the upcoming game will be the fourth away game in a row, while they travel alternately for the West and East. But the Penguins only played three games in the regular season, two of them at home, so they need to be more fresh and emotional, which will be a factor in their success. The rivalry between Pittsburgh and Los Angeles in recent years has become very productive. In six previous head-to-head encounters, the opponents have scored 41 goals against each other (6.83 average per game), which is a respectable result even for NHL standards.
