Nashville vs Minnesota: We Prefer the Home Team

Nashville needs to take control back. There's not much left before the end of the regular season, and the team has lost points in three of its last five games. The Predators faced difficult opponents, but they still needed at least one point each - 0:4 against Edmonton, 3:8 against St. Louis and 2:6 against Tampa Bay. Note that the Predators have not yet earned a playoff ticket. They are in fourth place in the Central Division with the same number of points as bottom Dallas (93). 

Minnesota is already playing the regular season without much tournament motivation. The team has safely made the playoffs, currently in second place in the Central Division standings with 107 points. Despite that, the Wild have claimed four wins in their past four games - over San Jose, Montreal, Vancouver and Seattle.

Nashville is the favorite. They have serious tournament motivation playing at home, where they will not be left without the support of their audience.

• Since 2017, Minnesota has not beat Nashville on the road.

At first glance, Minnesota is approaching the game in excellent condition, still four victories away. But if we look closely, we'll see that they have not met with the strongest teams. Against Nashville, which urgently needs points, the Wild will be tough. It is best to bet on the double chance for the first team with a total over.
