After that, the Wild secured two more victories, beating Carolina by two goals (3:1) and Washington (5:1) by four. As a result, the Wild are comfortably in the Central Division play-off zone, ten points behind fifth-placed Dallas.

The bookmakers have made a rather odd choice. They think Nashville has a slightly better chance of winning than Minnesota, although there is some truth in that. The Predators have been very good on home ice of late, with four wins and a loss, while the Wild have twice suffered a misfire on the road.
