This surge has allowed Seattle to reach fifth place in the Western Conference.

Montreal and Seattle approach the encounter in different forms. The Canadiens are still in crisis, having suffered seven losses in eight games. Meanwhile, the Kraken has been flawless in the new year, having won all meetings. Despite playing on the road, Dave Hextall's wards are the undisputed favorites. They also won their last three games away (18-7). 

Seattle's offense has been great lately, and Montreal is terrible on defense, which is a reason to bet on the visitors' performance. The Canadiens have conceded 38 goals (5.43 average per game) in the previous seven meetings - a disastrously poor mark. The Kraken has conceded 22 goals (5.50 average per game) in their last four games.
