Florida Panthers vs Vegas Golden Knights Prediction: Expect a productive match again

Florida reached the Stanley Cup Finals for the second time in its history. The debut attempt to win the trophy failed the Southerners. They suffered a crushing defeat from Colorado in the 1995/96 season – 0:4. Bruce Cassidy is spending his first year as the head coach, but he immediately managed to lead his team to first place in the Western Conference following the results of the regular season. In the playoffs, the Knights also show extremely confident results; with each new round, they improve more. They started the final confrontation with Florida especially strongly. In the opening game, Vegas destroyed the Southerners – 5:2 and then wholly crushed the opponent – 7:2, forcing Sergei Bobrovsky to rest during the game.

Before the start of the Stanley Cup final series, Vegas had less favorite, but the two opening meetings demonstrated that the Knights were much stronger than Florida. Of course, history knows many cases when the confrontation has changed dramatically, but there are no requirements. Paul Maurice notes that the blame for two major defeats is on him, but it is unlikely that he will be able to change his wards in such a short period. At the same time, the Knights have developed such an excellent shape that even the possible progress of the competitor is unlikely to prevent them from winning. 

The debut of the confrontation between Florida and Vegas was not rich in goals but the most productive since the 1981-82 season, when the Islanders and Vancouver scored 21 goals in two opening meetings. The Panthers and Knights still did not achieve this result, but together they scored 16 goals (8.00 on average per game), which is also excellent. We have the right to expect a productive match again.
