Florida has picked up momentum again with a seven-game winning streak! The Panthers have now reasserted their lead in the Atlantic Division table with five wins in regulation and two in overtime. Thanks to those points, they strengthened their lead in the Atlantic Division. Florida is now in first place with 108 points, a respectable eight points ahead of second-place Toronto.

Anaheim has only won twice in its last 16 games (5:0 over Arizona and 5:3 over Philadelphia) the year before. However, the Ducks lost again last year, this time 2:5 to Carolina.
