Columbus vs Pittsburgh Prediction: the Penguins Desperately Want the Win

Columbus continues to change and renew but is unlikely to meet serious challenges in the foreseeable future. In the offseason, the Jackets invited Johnny Gaudreau, who became the team's main star. But most of the players still lack the experience to achieve ambitious goals. In their regular season debut, Brad Larsen's charges took turns losing to Carolina, Tampa Bay, and St. Louis with a score of 5:14, which immediately exposed many of their problems. Nevertheless, the Yellow and Blues looked surprisingly good in their regular season debut, something they hadn't seen in a long time. In four starting meetings, Mike Sullivan's wards have missed only one point, having lost to Montreal in overtime - 2:3, and they won against Arizona, Tampa Bay, and Los Angeles with a total score - of 18:5.

Columbus has traditionally played hard against Pittsburgh. In the last five head-to-head meetings in the regular season, the Jackets could not win even once. And now the good chances of Brad Larsen's wards are not high, as in the current season's opening, the Penguins show excellent hockey, and they play great offensively and defensively. If the situation with the hosts' attack is still good, but with the defense they have after the departure of John Tortorella, the real trouble, which Yellow and Blacks should take advantage of. 

Pittsburgh, in the current regular season, looks very powerful offensively. In the four meetings, they scored 20 pucks (5.00 average per game). At the same time, Columbus has problems with the defense, due to which they missed the same 20 pucks, but for five games (4.00 average per game).
