Boston is still fighting for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Bruins went through a bad patch after the All-Star Game, but they have come out of it and are now looking to pick up points. Calgary are also struggling for results, with just two points from eight in their last four games. 

The confrontation between Calgary and Boston has been stingy in recent years. In the five previous meetings, the teams have combined to score just 25 goals (an average of 5.00 per game) - a modest figure by NHL standards.
