Boston Bruins vs Anaheim Ducks Prediction: Will Jim Montgomery's team be closer to victory?

Despite the fact that the Bruins were without their two main centres - Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci - in the offseason, the team from Boston is going without a single loss in the beginning of the championship. Moreover, all matches were won by Jim Montgomery's team in regulation time, and only twice in six games they conceded more than one goal. And 19-year-old Matthew Poitras, who made a double-double in the road game against Anaheim, has made a mark at the top-six centre position.

The Ducks also made some important changes in the offseason. The team left head coach Dallas Eakins, and Greg Cronin was appointed in his place. So far, the coaching change has not affected the results for the better. Anaheim has won only two games out of six, has only been stronger in regulation time once, and that was when Carolina played back-to-back games, and has only scored 14 goals - only San Jose and St. Louis, who have played one less game, have worse results in the Western Conference.

Boston's streak will certainly be broken at some point, but it's highly doubtful that it will happen in a home game against Anaheim. Ducks still don't look like a team that can solve tournament problems this season and, quite possibly, this championship will be dedicated to the adaptation in the NHL of Leo Carlsson, the second number one of the past draft.
